From the year 2020 we began the transition to organic farming, seeking to be as sustainable as possible. Our avocados are grown ecologically, without pesticides or chemicals, seeking to be healthy not only for the environment but also for you and your health.
Our avocados are grown on the Aguasvivas farm, located in the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, in Castellón. The crops are supplied with water from the spring itself, consuming the same as an orange tree crop, without causing water shortages.
For us it is important to offer you the best quality, that is why we only sell seasonal avocados. Likewise, we collect the fruit piece by piece, upon request, when it is at its right point of fat and ripening to guarantee that you receive the fruit in its optimal state. This way you can enjoy a 100% natural flavor and much more nutritious than the flavor of imported avocados. The varieties that we grow at Tropitop are:
Available from October 1 to November 30. The Bacon avocado is characterized by its green, smooth and thin skin, being very easy to peel. Its texture is very creamy, similar to butter, which makes avocado Bacon perfect for making sauces such as guacamole or creams. Its flavor is mild with a slight touch of hazelnut. Hass Avocado, available from December 1 to March 31. The Hass avocado is the best known and most consumed variety. It is smaller than other varieties, however, it has a higher proportion of flesh than other avocados. Its green skin is hard, thick and rough. Once it has matured, the color of its skin turns to a darker color. Its flavor is similar to that of dried fruits. Regarding the benefits, it is the variety with the most properties that prevents and reduces the risk of some types of cancer.
Lamb Hass avocado, available from March 31 to June 15. It is similar to the Hass avocado in texture and flavor, however it is slightly larger in size. Another difference is that its fruit is more oval. Its peduncle is in the center of the fruit. Once ripe, its green color turns black. The Lamb Hass avocado is the perfect avocado to include in your salads, as its flesh is smooth and creamy, with a nutty-like flavor.
