Conservation and consumption of Avocado

How they ripen after harvest, you must wait a few days to taste them.

First select the fruits that yield slightly to the pressure of the fingers, if not yet ripe, leave them at room temperature, until the skin has darkened to a dark brown color almost black and also yield to the pressure.

You can speed up the ripening process simply by placing it in a paper bag and keeping it at room temperature or near a source of mild heat until it is to your liking. A good trick is to place it next to an apple or a banana, this will help speed up the ripening process.

To stop ripening and keep them for longer, you can store them whole in the fridge without removing the corner of them.

You can guide yourself with the color of the skin, to know the exact point of maturation.

Remember to take it out an hour before consuming it to better enjoy its flavor and texture.

If you have cut the avocado and want to consume it later, keep it refrigerated leaving the bone and adding a little lime or lemon, so you will avoid rusting.
