What happened to our Peña Alta farm in Artana, Castellón?
The La Vall d'Uixó wildfire, which began on 25 July 2026, devastated our Peña Alta farm in Artana (Castellón). We have lost almost all of this year's harvest and, with it, many years of work and effort.
What exactly does "sponsoring a tree" mean?
You are purchasing the harvest of a smooth-skinned avocado tree in advance. You choose the name of your tree and the size of your harvest, and you will receive it at home during the season, in separate 4 kg boxes that you can decide when to receive. At the same time, you are helping us care for, restore and replant the trees lost to the fire, as well as helping us recover financially from the lost harvest and the future reduction in production caused by this wildfire.
Will I receive avocados from Peña Alta, the farm affected by the fire?
Peña Alta is now entering a recovery phase, but some areas were not affected. Your avocados will come from these unaffected areas and from our other farms that were not touched by the fire. You will receive your harvest as usual, with avocados of the same quality you have always enjoyed.
So, what is my money used for?
Your contribution goes directly towards rebuilding Peña Alta: caring for, restoring and replanting the trees we have lost, replacing infrastructure damaged by the fire, such as the irrigation system, and helping offset the production and harvest that we will not be able to sell this year.
Is this a donation?
No. It is a real purchase: you are paying for an avocado harvest that you will receive at home. The difference is that, right now, every tree sponsorship also represents another step towards the recovery of Peña Alta.
When will I receive my avocados and what variety are they?
They are smooth-skinned avocados. Once you have sponsored your tree, you can schedule the delivery of your 4 kg boxes from your personal account and choose when to receive them between October and December, whenever suits you best.
How much harvest can I sponsor?
You can choose between 8, 12, 16 or 20 kg of harvest. We will send your harvest in 4 kg boxes.
Are shipping costs included?
Yes, shipping costs are included in the sponsorship price.
